No, you do not need a referral to see a psychologist at Stella Psychologists. You can contact us directly to book an appointment. However, if you would like your sessions to be covered by a medical aid, please check with your provider as some may require a referral.

All information shared during sessions is protected under the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) guidelines and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We take your privacy seriously and will never share your information without your explicit consent, except where required by law (e.g., risk of harm to yourself or others).
No, your employer will not know about your sessions unless you choose to share that information. All therapy is strictly confidential, even if you are accessing services through an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). We do not share any details about your attendance or progress with your employer.
