Welcome to Stella Psychologists. By using our website, booking appointments, or receiving our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Scope of Services

Stella Psychologists provides professional psychological services, including individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, psychological assessments, medico‑legal reports, and employee wellness programmes. All services are delivered by qualified, registered clinical psychologists in compliance with HPCSA standards.

Our services are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services immediately.

2. Appointments and Cancellations

• Booking: Appointments can be made via our website, phone, or email. We will confirm your booking within 24 hours.
• Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a fee of up to 50% of the session cost.
• No‑show: Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will result in the full session fee being charged.

3. Fees and Payment

• Fees are quoted at the time of booking and are payable before or at the start of each session (unless otherwise agreed).
• Payment methods: Cash, credit/debit card, or EFT. We do not accept cheques.
• Medical aid claims: We can provide invoices for you to submit to your medical aid. However, you remain responsible for any shortfalls or amounts not covered by your fund.

4. Confidentiality

We uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with HPCSA ethical rules and South African law. Information shared during sessions will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent, except in the following legally mandated circumstances:

• Risk of serious harm to yourself or others.
• Court order or subpoena.
• Mandatory reporting of abuse (children, vulnerable adults).

5. Client Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and honest information to the best of your ability.
• Attend sessions on time and participate actively.
• Inform us of any changes in contact details or circumstances that may affect your care.
• Treat our staff and property with respect.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website (text, graphics, logos, images, software) is the property of Stella Psychologists and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high‑quality care, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Our services are provided "as is" and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website.

8. Third‑Party Links

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these third‑party sites.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bloemfontein.
